Malcolm Fallen, Non-Executive Director
Malcolm Fallen was appointed Chief Executive of Candover in August 2009 and to the Candover Board in September 2009. He joined Candover in March 2009 as acting Chief Operating Officer charged with overseeing the strategic review.
Malcolm has worked in a range of business sectors, spending the majority of the last 14 years in the TMT sector. From 2001 to 2008 he was with KCOM Group, a UK-based IT and Telecommunications services business, joining as Chief Financial Officer before becoming Chief Executive Officer in late 2003. Prior to KCOM he worked in Ireland for eircom, the incumbent telecommunications operator where he was recruited as Chief Financial Officer in early 1999, at the time of its IPO, by the Irish government. His previous career has included senior roles with British Biotech, BT, and Bowater. He graduated in Economics from Queens’ College, Cambridge and qualified as an accountant with Arthur Andersen.
Malcolm is Non-Executive Chairman of Innovia Films, an international speciality manufacturer of films used in the consumer packaging industry.
